About Us

Why We're Here

STVAC Mission Statement

STVAC Mission Statement

In October 2018, Pinal County completed the San Tan Valley Special Area Plan which established strategies and tactics for improving San Tan Valley. The San Tan Valley Advisory Council exists to advance the special plan and improve the quality of life for our community.

STVAC Mission Statement

To act as an advisory council to the Pinal County Board of Supervisors by providing a structured collective voice to recommend, advocate and support the views and priorities of the community across the unincorporated area of San Tan Valley, and work in conjunction with Pinal County to implement the San Tan Valley Special Area Plan.

Our Goals

STVAC Mission Statement

Our Goals

Our goals follow the Special Area Plan, namely:

  • Broaden economic opportunity
  • Improve infrastructure
  • Strengthen the community

The San Tan Valley Advisory Council is a nonprofit led by volunteers who gather input from all areas of San Tan Valley and present a collective voice to the Pinal County Board of Supervisors.

The Pinal County Board of Supervisors hear many opinions, often conflicting, regarding the growth in San Tan Valley.  To find a collective voice, they approved the formation of an advisory group to work with County staff to advance the interests of San Tan Valley.

The vision and goals of the San Tan Valley Special Area Plan, a year-long project adopted in 2018, provide the basic direction. Community input will help provide further direction and priorities. These will then be presented to the Pinal County Board of Supervisors.
